BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Veronica Joan Curtis, 92, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Ohio County Healthcare. She was born on May 14, 1933, in Newbury, England, to the late Theodore Stephen “Ted” and Edith Mary Fisher Brown.
Veronica married the love of her life in 1954 in Burghclere, England. She was a homemaker and loved and cared for many animals.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Curtis; one sister, Ann West; and one brother-in-law, Norman West.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories are her children, Kenneth (Mary) Curtis, of Central City, Kentucky, Steven (Che) Curtis, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Vickie Abuonk (Fred Wetzel), of Georgetown, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Angela Curtis, Kenny Curtis, Alex Curtis, Abe Abuonk, Sarah Abuonk, and Stevie Curtis; and six great-grandchildren, Amber Robinson, Kellen Curtis, McKinley Marsh, Marley Marsh, Millie Marsh, and Madison Marsh.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit with Veronica’s family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
