FORDSVILLE, Ky. — Nelson T. “Butch” Evans, 74, of Fordsville, passed away on June 4, 2025, at his home. He was born on Feb. 20, 1951 in Rosine, Kentucky, to the late Nelson and Laura Ellen Evans.
Butch worked all his life in timber and sawmills.
In addition to his parents, Butch is preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Gene, Mary Jo, and Carylon Sue Evans, and his son, William Evans.
Butch is survived by his companion, McShelia Evans; his son, Thomas (Autumn) Evans; daughters, Rosza (Timmy) Kelly, Amanda (James) Tucker, and Michael (Sue) Lindsey; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, including Raven Lilly Tucker, his “Baby Bear;” two sisters, Alice Fay Hayes and Sheila Ann Jones; and a brother, Bruce Evans.
