HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Danny Kent Morris, also known as “Horse,” 75, of Horse Branch, passed away at his home Thursday, May 29, 2025. He was born in Ohio County, Kentucky, on May 25, 1950, to the late George and Mary Magdalene Hayse Morris.
He enjoyed his time spent at US 60 Dragway, classic/muscle cars, and took pride in sharing his famous homegrown yellow watermelons.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Sue Burden Morris, and sister, Brenda Kay Rock.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 12 years, Linda Morris; daughters, Linda Carol (Lynn) Spigelmire, Mary Wallace (Jerry) and Hazel Nunn; son, Jerome Bernhardt; five grandchildren, Macy Spigelmire, Samantha Nunn (Wesley Garrison), Quentin Bernhardt, Kylee Bernhardt, and Tori Bernhardt (Jeremiah); brothers, Marvin Morris and Phillip Morris; sisters, Sandra Sue Crumes, Linda Weesner, and Anna Morris; special nephew, Nathan Rock (Toby), and family; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 31, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cromwell, Kentucky, at 1 p.m. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
