HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — William “Bill” Cecil Westerfield, 61, of Horse Branch, passed away on May 9, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. The Ohio County native was born Dec. 1, 1963, to the late William and Ida Westerfield.
A true outdoorsman, Bill lived for the woods. Whether he was casting a line in a quiet creek or tracking down ginseng and hickory chicken, he did it with a sharp eye and steady hand. He had a deep respect for nature and knew the hills and hollers like the back of his hand. A master timber cutter by trade, Bill took great pride in hard, honest work.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Amanda Westerfield; daughters, Callie (Daniel) Leach and Addison Westerfield; siblings, David (Jodie) McCoy, Lora Westerfield, and Brian (Gloria) Westerfield; grandchildren, Elliott, Briella, Eritrea, Morgana; as well as many other loving family and friends.
