BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Sharon Carroll, 86, of Beaver Dam, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Ohio County Healthcare. She was born Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1938, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Alvin L. Thomas and Naomi Burden Thomas.
Mrs. Carroll retired from the State of Tennessee.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carroll; daughter, Cindy Wertz; and son, Kenneth Mercer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, four grandsons, Nicholas (Samantha) Davis, Michael Davis, Joshua Davis, and Dustin Johnson; seven great-grandchildren, Alexis Davis, Alaina Davis, Nick Davis, Isabella Davis, Hudson Davis, Bentley Davis and Adalynn Davis; five siblings, William Dale Thomas, Mike (Sheila) Thomas, Jerry (Dianna) Thomas, Karen Sue (Mike) Sampson, and Steve (Anita) Thomas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit Mrs. Carroll’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
