BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Tena Lorene Whitler, 72, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at her home. She was born on Oct. 17, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Evelyn Kiper Allen.
Tena was a supervisor at Tamarlane Industries. Tena loved children, especially her grandchildren, reading, cooking and being a wife, mother and homemaker.
Aside from her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, William Allen; her husband, Cecil Wayne Whitler Sr.; one brother, Allen “Buddy” Kiper; and one sister, Beverly Kessinger.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her children, Christina Phelps, of Beaver Dam, Tina “Lori” (Ellen) Watson, of Beaver Dam, Thomas Watson, of Beaver Dam, Vicki (Charlie) Buchanan, of Beaver Dam, Steven (Beth) Watson, of Beaver Dam, and Erin (Zakry) Baize, of Beaver Dam; three stepchildren, Clark David Watson Jr., of Louisville, Cecil (Stacy) Whitler Jr., of Russellville, Kentucky, and Sandra Camacho, of Florida; one sister, Shirley (George) Calloway, of Beaver Dam; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, with Bro. Rodeny Albin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Tena’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
