OWENSBORO, Ky. — Carolyn Faye Hawes, 78, passed away April 16, 2025, at the Heartford House surrounded by her loving family. She was born Jan. 14, 1947, to the late Godfrey and Margerine Crowe Moseley.
Carolyn was retired from Citizen’s Bank and the Ohio County Board of Education. She loved traveling, playing golf, crafting and computers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Kerry Calvert Hawes; daughters, Marjorie Bennett (Todd) and Kerri Bradley (Dr. Jeremy); grandchildren, Britney Chilton (Roger), Sheena Phelps (Nathan), Ben Geary (Jordan), Mark Bennett, Taylor Pharris (Roger), Cora Walsh (Corbin), Olivia Bradley (Deric Parks), and Evan Bradley (Rachel Hornback); along with several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Roger Chilton officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery.
