FORDSVILLE, Ky. — Edison Doyl Payton, 92, of Fordsville, passed away April 15, 2025, at his residence.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Doyl was a member of Masonic Lodge #600 and a member of Fordsville Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Payton.
He is survived by his brother, Dwight (Geneva) Payton; son, Tommy Payton; daughter, Debbie Mattingly; granddaughter, Jenna (Jeff) Peercy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
