Ohio County EMA Director Charlie Shields posted on the OC EMA Facebook page that there would be 5,000 sandbags available for residents from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. today, April 6, at the Ohio County Road Department located at the Ohio County Park.

There is a limit of to 100 bags per address/household. You must be an Ohio County resident and be prepared to show your driver’s license as proof. The sandbags will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Depending upon the availability of volunteers, you may have to fill and load your own bags. So be prepared for this situation.
Due to the flooding you will need to take Country Club Lane from KY 69 N in order to enter the Ohio County Park to the road department.
