RICHLAND, Ind. — Jesse Thomas “JT” Chancellor, 43, of Richland, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. JT was born on Oct. 21, 1981, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late Albert Daniel Chancellor and Fannie Lynn Newcom.
Jesse attended Ohio County High School in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. He was a member of Bethel Christian Center in Reo, Indiana, where he enjoyed playing the bass guitar. He was an over-the-road truck driver. He loved to grill and cook for people. He enjoyed going fishing with his kids and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.
Most of all, he loved God, his family, and his friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles (Chalk) Chadwick and Hazel Robinson, and his paternal grandparents, Albert and Jessie Chancellor.
He leaves behind to cherish the many memories, his wife of 11 years, Sherry Chancellor; four children, JessiLynn (11), Jessiah (10), Colton (8), and Camden (6); one sister, Ameda Chancellor, of Minnesota; one brother, Michael (Ashley) Decker, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; three nieces, Lexi, Hailey, and Chloe; two nephews, Caleb and Noah; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his loving in-laws, Thurman and Debbie Daniel.
Services are 12 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana, with Pastors Michael Decker, Mark Phillips, and Walter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
