BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Elena M. Finley, 67, of Beaver Dam, earned her heavenly reward on March 23, 2025. She was born in Columbia, Central America, on March 2, 1958.
Elena was a faithful member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was in the Order of the Notre Dame Sisters when she discerned from that order and was led to be a missionary and joined the Formation of Mother Theresa’s Order in Bronx, New York. She was a lifelong missionary and always wanted to be a nun, but health issues prevented her from taking her final vows. Elena spent her entire life traveling the world teaching people about Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Finley.
She is survived by a brother, Charles Michael Finley and his wife, Rhonda J. Finley; niece, Jessica Nicole Finley; nephew David Michael Finley; her good friends, Amy and Tom Payne, of Owensboro; and dear friend, Patti Johnson, of Beaver Dam.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Beaver Dam with Father Julio Barerra presiding. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro, Kentucky.
