MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Mildred Ann Williams, 80, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Born on Sunday, Sept. 10, 1944, in Butler County, Kentucky, Mildred’s life was a tapestry of joy, kindness, and cherished moments with family and friends. Mildred was the daughter of the late T.J.and Kathleen Snell Williams.
Mildred’s professional life was marked by her dedication at Kanes Manufacturing in Morgantown from which she retired after many years of faithful service. Beyond her work, Mildred had a zest for life that was contagious. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, shopping, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Darrell Williams, Leonard “Buddy” Williams, Louise Herald, and Tommy Williams, as well as her nephew, Mark Williams, and niece Kelly Hawkins.
She is survived by two siblings, Roger Williams (Carolyn) and Lena Williams, both of Morgantown. Mildred’s legacy of love continues through her nephews and nieces, Brian Williams (Desiree), of Morgantown, Michael Orange (Stephanie), of Morgantown, Jeff Williams (Laverne), of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jamie Williams (Glenda), of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jacob Todd Williams (Tiffany), of Morgantown, Jon Thomas Williams (Samantha), of Morgantown, Adam Williams (Andrea), of Cromwell, Kentucky, Tereasa Mills (Orie), of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tosha Parrish, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Barbie Poston (John), of Bowling Green, and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, March 24, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating. Burial will be in the Tuck Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday 8 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
