Liz, a resident of Beaver Dam, formerly of Dundee, was born on Dec. 18, 1947, to the late John Raymond and the late Mary Margaret Toon Stout.

Liz was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.

She created a loving home filled with warmth and joy. She attended New Baymus Church of Christ for years and later became a member of the Hartford Church of Christ, Liz’s faith was a guiding force in her life. Her greatest legacy was the love of God she instilled in her children and grandchildren, which she held as her deepest and most meaningful accomplishment.

She was also a proud Kentucky Colonel and actively participated in the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program, passionately sharing her talent as a folk artist with the community. She was a nationally known artist having her dolls displayed on the White House Christmas tree. Judy Patton requested a doll be sent to each U.S. governor’s office as a Christmas gift from Kentucky to raise awareness in child abuse and neglect in Kentucky, using her talent to bring light to those in need and give a voice to the most vulnerable. She established Country by Liz where her work was sold out in less than two minutes on QVC. She was instrumental in the Ohio County Art Guild. Her artistry reflected the beauty of her spirit and the depth of her compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all who appreciated her work. Liz’s legacy will forever be remembered through the love she shared and the lives she touched. Her warmth, kindness, sense of humor, unwavering integrity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
