CENTERTOWN, Ky. — Kaitlynn Deann Newton, 19, of Centertown, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Centertown. She was born on May 4, 2005, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Shasta Walker Payne and the late Richard D. Newton.
Kaitlynn enjoyed drawing, listening to music and she loved animals. She worked as a server at Taco Bell and Huddle House.
Aside from her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Barry Brandle; grandmothers, Sheila Walker and Vickie Brandle; grandfather, Ronnie Newton; and uncle, B.J. Walker.
She leaves behind to cherish many precious memories are her mother, Shasta Payne (Jake Bryant), of Owensboro, Kentucky; her fiancé, Brayden Taylor, of Centertown; brother, Christopher Smith, of Horse Branch, Kentucky; grandmother, Deloris Newton, of Hawesville, Kentucky; half-brother, Travis Newton, of Chicago, Illinois; sister-at-heart, Michela Ling, of Owensboro; nieces and nephews, Skyler Bryant, Amy Bryant, Brentley Johnson, Aubree Shultz, Haley Temple, Rowan Bevil, Jensen Temple, Everleigh Green; and special nieces and nephews from the Bryant family. She was blessed with an incredible bonus family, Rhonda and Mark Everly, of Centertown, Kerstin (Dakota) Temple, of Fordsville, Kentucky, Alexis Green, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Terry Hamilton, of Centertown, Terry Green and Pam Laker, of North Webster, Indiana; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Kaitlynn’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
