OWENSBORO, Ky. — Charlotte (Marie) Sharp Rock, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Heartford House. She was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late James Louis and Catherine Estelle Sharp.
She attended Owensboro Business College for accounting, was retired from the Daviess County School System as a secretary, and was a member of Bells Run Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Ford, and Barbara Belcher; her brother, James M. Sharp; and a son-in-law, David Gray.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald L. Rock; her son, Mark (Tina) Nicely; her daughter, Dianna Nicely Gray; stepchildren, Kim (Jay) Paulsen, Kevin (Shannon) Rock, and Kristie (Jeff) Dawson; grandchildren, Curry Nicely, James (Leah) Nicely, Chad Taylor, and Emily Durham; six step grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger (Karen) Sharp.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
