OLATON, Ky. — Dwight L. Shain, 68, of Olaton, passed away Feb. 10, 2025, at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on Dec. 3, 1956, to late Murrell and Constance Gross Shain.
Dwight was a Christian, a fan of UK sports and a lifelong Democrat. He was self-employed and worked a farmer and logger.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Shain.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Sharon Shain, of Hartford, Kentucky, and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Bro. Keith Page officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
The family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Dwight Shain Memorial Fund.
