BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Christine Waters Watson, 98, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beaver Dam, surrounded by her family. She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on Aug. 19, 1926, to the late Rose Abigail Coil and Willie Watters.

Christine was a homemaker and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Beaver Dam where she loved to sing in the choir. She also loved to garden and spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Tapley, Ruby Watters, and Norma Jean Cress; six brothers, Josh Watters, Ottis Watters, Leroy Watters, Lonnie Watters, Chester Watters, and Paul Watters; two sons, Carlos (Todd) Clarence Watson and Willard Watson; one daughter, Rosalee Moore; one son-in-law, Jerry W. Moore; and one daughter-in-law, Carol Watson; three grandchildren, Nathan Todd Watson, Jerry D. Moore, Jr. and Angel Nichole Lowery; and eight great-grandchildren and their mother.

Survivors include one son, Randall (Red) Watson, of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Brenda (Jerry, Sr.) Moore, of Beaver Dam, and Vivian (Pat) Embry, of Morgantown, Kentucky; two daughters-in-law, Wanda Watson, of Graham, Kentucky, and Janet Watson, of McHenry, Kentucky; one sister, Barbara Sue Hill, of Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Clarinetta Watters; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home with Bro. Jerry D. Moore III and Bro. Bobby Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
