HARTFORD, Ky. — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oscar I. Villanueva. Oscar was born on May 15, 1980, in Durango, Mexico, and departed on Feb. 20, 2025.

A diesel mechanic on the side he worked industrial construction by trade, his passion for cars and hard work were evident to all who knew him. His unwavering work ethic will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He leaves behind his son, Diego Rivera, of Hartford; daughter, Melany Rivera, of Evansville, Indiana; his parents, Julio Villanueva and Leticia Segovia; grandmother, Christna Segovia; four sisters, Karen, Patricia, Martha, Rosa Villanueva, all of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Hartford Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.

As we reflect on the legacy Oscar leaves behind, let us remember him for his warmth, his dedication, and the love he shared with all who knew him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
