NEWBURGH, Ind. — Marilyn Sue Roach Woods, 79, passed away in Newburgh on Feb. 20, 2025. She was born in Ohio County, Kentucky, on May 1, 1945, to the late Hayden and Bessie Roach.
She was a housewife and a member of Church of God Prophecy Church in Fordsville, Kentucky.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Woods, and siblings, James Roach, Carol Wilkerson, Augustine Roach, Ernie Roach, and Mamie Darnett.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Rance) Evans, of Newburgh; son, George (Serena) Woods, of Georgetown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jamie Pate and Jessica Ellison; seven step-grandchildren; great-grandsons, Jaxon and Jayden; nine step-great-grandchildren; and brother, David Roach, of Fordsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
