HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Emergency Management Agency is asking all those who have damage from last weekend’s storm to contact their office. Those who have damage that can be documented may qualify to receive state or federal assistance.
Once you report your damage to OC EMA, they will conduct a damage assessment and submit it to the Kentucky and Federal Emergency Management Agency for possible individual assistance. FEMA has not yet declared this weekend’s weather event a disaster area, but if it is, you need to have your damage assessed by OC EMA.
OC EMA will need your name, address, phone number, a brief description, and photos to prove the damage. Assistance will be for damage to only your living structure. Assistance will not be provided for barns, detached garages or sheds. You must also own your home to receive assistance.
Submit your information to OC EMA at ocema@ohiocountyky.gov.
