HARTFORD, Ky. — David C. Brown, 84, of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at Ohio County Healthcare. David was born in Hartford, Illinois, to the late Clifford and Daisy Mae Thomas Brown.
David retired from Commonwealth Community Bank where he served as a vice president. He was a member of Hartford Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, moderator, treasurer and Sunday School teacher. He also loved to bass fish.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Margaret Rice Brown; two sons, David R. (Kathy) Brown and Paul A. Brown-Lombardi (Jason Brown-Lombardi); a brother, Brian Stephen (Valarie) Brown; two grandchildren, Ashley A. (Chad) Martin and Joshua David Brown; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Sophia Martin.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Clint White officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 12 noon to funeral time on Saturday at the funeral home.
