ECHOLS, Ky. — June Greenwell, 81, of Echols, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at her residence. She was born Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1943, to the late Vernon Williams and Carrie B. Ashby Williams.
June was a faithful Avon Representative for over forty years and was a member of Rockport Baptist Church. June enjoyed the Echols Homemakers serving as president, working with the 4-H groups as well as her time with friends, family and her church family.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Greenwell; son, Donald Greenwell; daughter, Kaye Kelley; granddaughter, Sarah Kaitlynn Greenwell, and brother, Jackie Williams.
June leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Ronald “Lee” (Charlene) Greenwell Jr., of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; daughter, Debra Rone, of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren, Michael Shields, Thomas Greenwell, Nathan McIntyre, Matthew Greenwell, David Kelley, Christopher Kelley, William Kelley, and Adam Greenwell; seven great-grandchildren, Katlen, Lacy, Scott, Sarah, and Emily Greenwell, Jacob Shields, and Aurora Mae Kelley; five siblings, Bobby Williams, of Louisville, Kentucky, Johnny (Joan) Williams, of Hartford, Kentucky, Willie (Jim) Vender, of Centertown, Kentucky, Linda Allen, of Hartford, and Betty Worley, of Lebanon, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Pond Run Cemetery. Friends may visit with June’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
