OWENSBORO, Ky. — Marianna Willett Robinson, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at Wellington Parc. Born May 28, 1942, she was the daughter of Harvey and Mary Ben Willett.

Marianna was a 1960 graduate of the Mount Saint Joseph Academy; a 1964 graduate of Brescia University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English with an elementary teacher certificate; and obtained her Masters in in the field of education from Western Kentucky University.

Mrs. Robinson taught in the Ohio County School system for many years, both as an elementary and middle school teacher. For over 30 years, she was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in Ohio County, Kentucky, prior to becoming a faithful member of Saint Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by Larry J. Robinson, her beloved husband of 42 years, as well as her sister, Dorthy Halbleib.

She is survived by three children, six grandchildren, and two siblings. Her children include, Todd Robinson (Chele), of Louisville, Kentucky, Troy (CeCe) Robinson, of Owensboro, and daughter, Allison (Dwayne Sandefur) Robinson, of Ohio County, Kentucky. Her cherished grandchildren include, Matt Robinson, Jack Robinson, Ben Robinson, Joe Robinson, Anna Robinson, and Audrey Merriman. Surviving siblings include her brother, Benjamin Patrick Willett, of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Faye Wilkerson, of Owensboro.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Saint Stephen Cathedral, with Father John Vaughan and Father Shibu officiating. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A private burial will be held at St. Peter Cemetery.
