GREENVILLE, Ky. — Margo Elaine O’Brien (Chi), 74, passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Greenville on Nov. 29, 1950, the daughter of Maedoll Vincent Knight.
She was a member of East Union Baptist Church, and she retired from Belle Meade Nursing Home as a nursing assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, fishing, video games, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Kenneth Dale O’Brien, and a sister, Andrea Sue Knight.
She is survived by her daughter, Delania Lear, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; her mother, Maedoll Vincent Knight; two grandchildren, Nathen (Celia) Lear, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Christafer (Autumn) Lear, of Beaver Dam; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Lear and Kenton Lear; one brother, Tony (Libby) Knight, of Greenville; and one sister, Pam King, of Columbia, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Bro. Tondra Daugherty officiating with Bro. Joe Chambers assisting. Burial will follow at East Union Cemetery in Graham, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
