GEORGETOWN, Ind. — Harold J. Renfrow, 84, of Georgetown, passed away Jan. 23, 2025, at his home. He was born Jan. 15, 1941, in the Renfrow Community of Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Jessie B. Renfrow and Mamie Jewell Bates Marcum.
He retired from Engelhard Corporation and enjoyed welding, working in his yard and working on cars.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Arnold Renfrow; mother at heart, Ruby Ann Baize Renfrow; siblings, Jerry Lee Renfrow, Randy Stevens, David Eugene Renfrow, Charles Richard Renfrow, and Freda Mae Renfrow; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Wells and Jody Renfrow; nephew, James Christopher Renfrow Jr.; and niece, Connie Sue Farley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, children, Debra (Jim) Stone, of Edwardsville, Kentucky, Jay (Regencia) Renfrow, of Edwardsville, Jennifer Renfrow, of Georgetown, and David Renfrow (Annette Hatfield), of Georgetown; grandchildren, Veronica Sayre, Melissa Renfrow, Brittany Weller, Joshua Stone, Jordan Stone, and Jessica Weller; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Evelynn, Everly, and Kailyr; siblings, Bobby Renfrow, of Cloverport, Kentucky, Betty (Orville) Jones, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, James “Cooney” (Mary) Renfrow, of Cromwell, Kentucky, Garland Renfrow, of Horse Branch, Thelma Renfrow, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Esther Geary, of Cromwell, Ricky (Sue) Stevens, of New Port Richey, Florida, and Arleta Brown, of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky; in-laws, Dinky (Rose) Arnold, of Louisville, Kentucky, Joyce (Mike) Cadreau, of Louisville, and Linda Tillman, of Louisville, Stevie Wells, of Louisville, and Amy Martin, of Fordville, Kentucky; as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Glendon Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Ezell Cemetery in Ohio County, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Harold’s family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
