Hartford Police asking public for help in car theft investigation

HARTFORD, Ky. — The Hartford Police Department is asking for the public’s help with a stolen vehicle investigation..

According to the HPD, Tuesday,  Jan. 21, the department received word from the Louisville Metro Police Department about recovering a stolen vehicle taken from Moore Ford’s parking lot on an unknown date. The vehicle was identified using its vehicle identification number.

During the preliminary investigation, LMPD detectives discovered a “jamming” device commonly used to interfere with digital electronics such as video surveillance cameras and other transmitting devices.
