HARTFORD, Ky. — Connie J. McConnell, 69, of Hartford, entered her heavenly home on Jan. 15, 2025, at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born May 13, 1955, in Centertown, Kentucky, to the late Claudis and Ruby Williams Barrett.
Connie was a homemaker and took great pride in being a wife, a mother to her children and a Momo to her five grandchildren. She was also a member of East Hartford Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Junior Barrett, and sisters, Loretta Bartlett, Emily Barrett, Evelyn Woolen, Wanda Phelps, Edna Garner, Corrine Phelps and Judy Barrett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Phillip McConnell; son, Jason (Coren) McConnell; daughter, Meredith (Adam) Saalwaechter; grandchildren, Owen, Britley and Cooper McConnell, and Ian and Blair Saalwaechter; and sister, Patty McGuffin; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Services will be Sunday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Bros. Andy Gowins and Jeremy Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky: The Heartford House in memory of Connie McConnell.
