GALLATIN, Tenn. — Thomas Duane Brooks, 87, of Gallatin, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Edward Basil Brooks and Marianna Irene Mills Brooks.

Mr. Brooks was a clinical psychologist, business executive and college professor. He proudly served in the United States Army.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aleya Nicole Lin Brooks, and two brothers, Billy Joe Brooks and Wyman Earl Brooks.

Mr. Brooks leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 64 years, Alice Carolyn Minton Brooks, of Gallatin, Tennessee; two sons, Jason Thomas Brooks, of Hendersonville, Tennesee, and Stephen Duane Brooks, of Deerfield, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Andrew Brooks, Nathanael Brooks, Emma Brooks, and Ethan Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mr. Brooks family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
