
Raleigh served in U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a glove cutter at Montpelier Glove Company where he worked for 33 years. He enjoyed farming and spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for dancing.
In addition to his parents, Raleigh is preceded in death by his first wife, Maurita Nabours; son, Raleigh Dale; grandson, Richard; granddaughter, Violet Maurita; great-granddaughter, Blakleigh Jane; brothers, Quinton and Dewey; and sister, Lou Della.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nabours; sons, Richard Terry Nabours and Donald Nabours; daughters, Debbie (Curtiss) Crowe, Donna (Ronnie) Burden; daughter-in-law, Sharon Nabours; sister, Blenda (Eugene) Filback; and 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, Jan. 2, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
