CENTERTOWN, Ky. — Steven Ray Walden, 53, of Centertown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1971, in Hartford, Kentucky to the late Paul Ray Walden and Cheryl Ann Ashby Walden.

Steven started his career as a union carpenter before becoming part of Iron Worker Local #492. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Wade Fisher; maternal grandparents, Charles and Jean Ashby; and paternal grandmother, Gladys Bibb.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, five daughters, Janie (Anthony) Fisher, of Salem, Kentucky, Zaiden Walden, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Addison Walden, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Peyton Nelson, of Owensboro, and Zandria Walden, of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Isabella Fisher, Abigail Fisher, and Elliott Fisher; two sisters, Nicole (Mark) Robinson, of Centertown, and Ashley (Brian) Hamby, of Owensboro; nieces and nephews, Hayley (Mike) Paholsky, Logan Hamby, Eli Hamby, Mariah (Tanner) Wilson, and Marcus Robinson; several great-nieces and -nephews, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Steven’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the cemetery.
