HARTFORD, Ky. — Darrell Thomas Smith Sr., 89, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, at Signature Health Care in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was a son of the late James and Flora Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Adams; one granddaughter, Mickie Norris; one brother, John Smith; and four sisters, Moline Rowan, Dorothy Foster, Wanda Smith and Bonnie Hall.
He is survived by three children, Vickie Wright (Joey Wilborn), Darrell Thomas Smith Jr. (Rachel) and June Jones; two brothers, Dwight Smith and Junior Smith (Florence); 10 grandchildren, Bruce Adams, Jennifer Carry (Chris), Staci Montgomery (Matt), T.J. Webb (Brooks), Will Wright (Bethany Mutter), Michelle Riley (Doug), Joshua Smith (Ashley), Blake Haribson (Kelly), and Hunter Jones; along with several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. (CST) Sunday, Dec. 22, at Bevil Brothers Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Visitation in Beaver Dam will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky. Visitation in Glasgow will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
