UTICA, Ky. — Otho Lee Huggins, 81, of Utica, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late Ralph William Huggins and the late Mable Lucille France Huggins.
He began driving trucks and retired after 40 years with Overnite Transportation.
He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and being in nature. His greatest joy was being with his family and his beloved pitbull, Zeus. He was a member of New Panther Creek Baptist Church where he would teach children’s Sunday School and fill other roles when needed.
He was married over 53 years to the late Sarah Elizabeth Huggins.
Besides his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ricky Laughary, and a grandson, Ricky Laughary Jr.
He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Laughary; three sons, Earnest Huggins, Steve Huggins (Marcy), and David Klahn (Jessica); sister, Shirley Hill; brother, Ronnie Huggins; and 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
