McHENRY, Ky. — Nancy Kay Daniel, 80, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at her home. She was born July 20, 1944, to the late Robert Calloway in Hartford, Kentucky.
Nancy enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers and canning the fruits of her labor. She had a soft spot for animals. Shopping trips to Kroger and Aldi’s were her favorite. Nancy loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially her five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thaxton Daniel; her daughter, Paula Tomblinson; her twin brother, Bobby Ray Calloway; and her sisters, Ann Barbee and Mona Sue Higgs.
Nancy is survived by her son, Brian Scott (Angela) Calloway; grandchildren, Alexandria (Jacob) Burden and Jake (Courtney) Calloway; great-grandchildren, Ross, Rosie and Remi Burden and Sarah Grace and Dennis Cole Calloway; and her special friends, Judy Chinn and Sheila Lyons.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. at Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, Kentucky with Bro. Keith Shephard officiating. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Ohio County Hospice. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.
