2024 Beaver Dam Christmas Festival continues today

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Christmas has come early as the 2024 Beaver Dam Christmas Festival kicks off today in downtown Beaver Dam.

The Christmas season has blown into Beaver Dam today and you have two days to soak it all in before it ends with the always anticipated Beaver Dam Christmas Parade.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. tonight, Friday, Nov. 29, with vendor booths a coffee truck, and carnival rides. If that wasn’t enough, an ice rink will be open for skating and carriage rides will be available.

The annual lighting of the Beaver Dam Christmas Tree will be at 5:30 p.m. The annual Christmas Tree lighting is the ceremony to signal the beginning of Christmas in Beaver Dam.

After the Christmas Tree lighting, you can participate in the cookie walk at 6:30 p.m.

The Christmas fun continues Saturday, Nov. 30, beginning at 10 a.m., with the vendor booths, coffee truck, carnival rides, and ice rink. Carriage rides will begin at 1 p.m. and will operate until 4 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to noon, children can have cookies with Santa, one of the favorite events of the whole festival. Bring the kids to Beaver Dam City Hall to enjoy cookies and pictures with Santa. Children can also enjoy coloring pages and even write a letter to Santa.

Near the end of the day, there will be live music from 4-5 p.m. leading right up to the main event, the Beaver Dam Christmas Parade. The Beaver Dam Christmas Parade will cap off the event at 5 p.m. The parade lineup will begin at 3 p.m. For those who aren’t able to make it to town for the parade, it will be livestreamed on the Beaver Dam, Kentucky Facebook page.

If all of that wasn’t enough, perhaps the best part of the Beaver Dam Christmas Festival, both Friday and Saturday, toys will be given away to children of all ages. Toys will be given away to children ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12.
