CENTERTOWN, Ky. — Janice Carolyn Ray was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024. Carolyn was born on Sept. 12, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Carolyn was a homemaker until her sons were grown, but still managed to have a 20-year career working for Cheatham County Medical Center, Hillcrest Nursing Home, and the office of Dr. Robert Rhea.
She was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ for 55 years.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Eva Jackson Martin; father, Marvin Haskins Martin; brother, Roger Dale Martin; and her sister, Teresa Lynn Kathey.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Riley C. Ray; her sons, Tim (Christie) Ray, Kenny (Karen) Ray, and Steve (Cheri) Ray; six grandchildren, Tia (Garry) Brown, Nicholas Ray, Keely Ray, Brandon (Meagan) Ray, Chelsea Ray, and Jarret Ray; and six great-grandchildren, Xavier Kellum, Riddik Ray, Sophia Ray, Brilee Ray, Roxie Ray, and Rosalee Ray.
A memorial service will be held at Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ, 2699 Old Clarksville Pike, Ashland City, TN 37015, on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. with Brother Johnny Trail officiating. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.
