HARTFORD, Ky. — William C. Pirtle, 80, a beloved member of the Hartford community and a devoted Christian, passed away on Oct. 31, 2024, at his home in Hartford.
He was a man of great faith, serving as a deacon and song leader at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. William was a proud U.S. Army veteran. His love for farming was evident in the way he tended to his land with care and dedication.
William was preceded in death by his parents, J. C. and Alline Pirtle, and his siblings, Curtis C. Pirtle and Stephan Pirtle.
He is survived by his loving spouse Brenda Decker Pirtle; sister, Judean Drescher and her husband, Joseph; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Visitation on Thursday, Nov. 7, will be from 9 a.m until 11 a.m. at Hartford Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
In his passing, William C. Pirtle leaves behind a lasting impact that will continue to inspire future generations to live with kindness, faith, and dedication. May his spirit find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
