BEAVER DAM, Ky. — William J. “Bill” Daugherty, 67, of Beaver Dam, departed this earthly life and entered into eternal peace Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, with his family by his side at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born Sunday, Feb. 17, 1957, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to the late Joseph William Daugherty and Doris Jean Goings Daugherty.
Bill retired from Perdue Farms after 25 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the United States Marine Corps.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kim Burdin Daugherty.
He leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, his wife of 27 years, Bess Daugherty; two daughters, Sarah (David) Clark and Amy Daugherty; son, Thomas Brown; five grandchildren, Tre Scott, Lexi Clark, Elizabeth Clark, Raegan Brown, and Ian Brown; great-grandson, Alexander Scott; and sister, Gini Renfrow.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Bill’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
