
Loretta was a homemaker and enjoyed loving and caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Betty Sue Childress, Hazel Crowder, and Norma Lee Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Fred Mayes; sons, Larry (Debbie) Mayes, of Beaver Dam, Randy (Susan) Mayes, of College Grove, Tennessee, Jerry (Paula) Mayes, of Beaver Dam; daughter, Lori (Barry) Maple, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with one of Loretta’s grandsons, Tanner Maple, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Sunday. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form donations to Gideons International.
