
Throughout her career, Betty devoted 28 years of service to Kellwood and an additional 13 years to Walmart. Beyond her professional endeavors, Betty found solace and pleasure in the simple things. She enjoyed fishing, working in her garden and just working. The words that best describe Betty are “kindhearted and dedicated.”
Betty, is also preceded in death by four siblings, James, Forest and Elmer Evans, and Emeline Embry.
She is survived by her daughter, Turrell Jean Diakis, of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren, Rachal Niederer and James Reid; and her sisters, Monnie Embry, of Henryville, Indiana, Anna Hazel, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Marie Wilhite, of McHenry, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Scott Fleener officiating. A private burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 1, from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
