LEITCHFIELD, Ky. — Mary A. Stancil, 58, formerly of Hartford, Kentucky, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky. Mary was born on Dec. 11, 1965, in Dundee, Kentucky, to the late Vernon and Reba Wells Hicks.
She loved visiting with her grandbaby, helping Veterans at Christmas, UK basketball and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Jacob Stancil; her daughter, Emily Evans and her fiancé Joshua Hulsey; three brothers, Carl Hicks, Earl Hicks, and David Hicks; a sister, Judy Hicks; granddaughters, Caroline Hulsey and Katherine Hulsey; nieces and nephews, Melissa Valdez, Bryan Hicks, Anna Belcher, Rebekkah Belcher, Olivia Belcher, and Jaxon Belcher; and several cousins.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Carl Vanover and Bro. Jerry Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church in Falls of Rough, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home on Friday.
