HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Cathy Susan West, 64, of Horse Branch, passed away Oct. 18, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late Everett “Tooter” and Monia Johnson Moore.
Ms. West worked as a Head Start preschool teacher and provided in-home childcare for some very special families. Cathy was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ.
She loved her children and grandchildren will all her heart and would do anything for them.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Daugherty and by Ledford West.
Survivors include two children, Amanda (Josh) Wright, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Everett West, of Horse Branch; four grandchildren, Everett West Jr., Gabe West, Jaxton Wright, and Zoey Wright; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Josh Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky.
