OWENSBORO, Ky. — Allen Ray Johnson, 75, passed away on Oct. 16, 2024, with his family and the loving care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro, Kentucky.
He retired from Logan Aluminum, spent his well-deserved retirement with his grandkids, and cheered on the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a member of Newton Springs Baptist Church and relied heavily on his faith.
He was preceded, in death by his parents, Earl B. and Mildred Johnson, and son, Scott Allen Johnson.
Allen is survived by his children, Holly (Don) Smallwood, Nathan (Christine) Johnson, Ethan (Nikki) Johnson, and Courtney Johnson; grandchildren, Trey Smallwood, Liberty Smallwood, Karlei Johnson, Carter Kimmel, Collins Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Konner Johnson, Ellington Johnson, Scarlett Johnson, and Karcen Johnson; stepdaughter, Brittany Buster; and step-grandchildren, Brycen and Jamycen.
Allen was a devoted father, brother, and Poopaw. He was the best encourager and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
