BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Billy Joe King Sr., 76, of Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born April 5, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Elentrial King and Sally Kate Morgan King Arnold.
Billy was a member of Oak Grove Church of God in Cromwell, Kentucky.
Aside from his parents, Billy was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest Ray King, Bobby King Sr., Roger Dale Arnold, and Sammy King.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 37 years, Donna M. King, of Beaver Dam; five children, Anglia (Donnie) Pentecost, of Browder, Kentucky, Tina King Jarvis (Steve), of Owensboro, Kentucky, Tammy (Frank) Schmautz, of Drakesboro, Kentucky, Billy Joe (Eugenia) King Jr., of Greenville, Kentucky, and Cindy (Tony) Douglas, of Browder; 13 grandchildren, Donnie (Kristen), Brittney (Joseph), Jordan (Azucena), Stephaine (Jerry), Anthony (Kayla), Kelsie, Tricia (Aaron), Brandi, Kaydie (Zack), Kayson, Bailey, Elizabeth, and Holly; several great-grandchildren; sister, Gennie Tapp, of Bald Knob, Arkansas; brother, Jimmy (Regina) Arnold, of Central City, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Pam King, of Columbia, Kentucky; uncle, James E. (Myong) King, of Columbia, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Oak Grove Church of God (10358 State Route 505 South, Cromwell, KY 42333) with Rev. Steve Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit with Billy’s family from 10 until the time of the service Monday at the church.
