BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Belinda “Kay” Mattingly Laslie, 71, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Cloverport, Kentucky, passed into the arms of Jesus on Oct. 5, 2024, while at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, on April 15, 1953, to the late Arlen “Joe” and Juanita Clark Mattingly.
She was retired from Property Maintenance and was a member of Cloverport Community Church. Belinda taught Sunday School and was a Youth Leader for many years. She was also a former member of Cloverport Fire Department and was a caregiver for the elderly.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Barry Laslie; two grandchildren; and a sister, Diane Powers.
Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Wedding and Manda (John) Brockway; grandchildren, Kaetlin (Cody) Lear, Dossin Wedding, Hailey (Jared) Craig, Kayelee Hayes, Harley Landry, and Patrick Landry; great-grandchildren, Everleigh, along with her mother, Taryn Powers, Jay Craig and two more on the way; siblings, Patricia Hurt, Alfred Mattingly, Tim Mattingly, and Mae Palmer; four-legged friend, Little Britches; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Cloverport Cemetery. Belinda’s family will be greeting friends on Wednesday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville, Kentucky, chapel from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
