ROCKPORT, Ky. — William Robert “Billy” Tyson Jr., 46, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at his home. He was born on March 8, 1978, in Barberton, Ohio, to William Robert Tyson Sr. and Patricia Ann Ballash Tyson.
Billy attended Centertown Holiness Church and worked in maintenance at Nestaway for 18 years before their closure.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Ambrose Ballash.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his parents, Bill and Patricia Tyson; his wife, Sabrina Tyson; his daughter, Abigail Tyson Alvey-Payne (Chris); his children at heart, Jasmine Lagrand, Jonathan Lagrand, and Jacob Lagrand; six siblings, Tina Suluiman (Dave Biszmaier), Eddie Dawson, Jeffrey (Becky) Dawson, Michael (Tracey) Stites, Jonathan (Carrie) Tyson, and Andrew Pottle; nieces and nephews, Keith (Emily), Tony, Mindy, Mattie Jo, Jason, Samantha, Jessica, Casey (Samantha), Bailey (Lauren), Sammy, Jonathan Jr., McKaylee, McKenzie, Jaxson and Dixie; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Tyson.
