HARTFORD, Ky. — The great Ohio County Fair is this week, beginning Thursday, Sept. 12, and wrapping up Saturday, Sept. 14.
Since its creation, the Ohio County Fair has provided food, fun and excitement for the whole family and this year will be more of the same.
The week kicks off Thursday with a petting zoo for the kids along with the baby pageants and the Young Miss Pageant. There will also be the always fun, Mother/Daughter Pageant on Thursday.
Thursday also offers an Off-Road/UTV Rodeo and that will provide a ton of excitement.
Friday, Sept. 13, begins with an annual tradition, Senior Citizen Day. Following that, the petting zoo will be open and Friday has some fun pageants lined up including the Young Miss and Mister pageant and the Ms. and Mrs. Pageant. Friday also has a 4-wheeler mud bog and a pony and mule pull.
Saturday will again have the petting zoo for the kids as well as the pedal tractor pulling contest and for the whole family, the outlaw tractor pull will be romping and stomping in the evening.
Saturday ends with the always competitive Miss Ohio County pageant. But, you can also see the Miss Pre-Teen and Miss Teen pageants, which will give you a peek at a possible future Miss Ohio County.
If all that isn’t enough to bring you out to the fair, the rides are free and there will be plenty of good food and vendors to visit.
The Ohio County Fair offers a fun night out for the whole family. Come out and support the fair this year.
