BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Roger David Lindsey, 86, of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, surrounded by his family at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Hartford, Kentucky, to Rava Mosley Lindsey and the late CB Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey was a retired contractor and member of Independence Baptist Church in McHenry. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Parritt, and two sisters, Betty Carol Boone and Kay Crowley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 67 years, Betty Lindsey, of Beaver Dam; four children, Ricky (Jenny) Lindsey, of Centertown, Kentucky, Debra Parrit, of Morgantown, Kentucky, Barry Lindsey, of Centertown, and Chuck (Rhonda) Lindsey, Gate City, Virginia; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; mother, Rava Lindsey, of Beaver Dam; eight brothers and sisters, Shirley Lindsey, Markeda Simpson, Sue Ellis, Rita (Rick) Lutrell, Brenda (Randy) Clark, Monty Lindsey, Jerry (Mary) Lindsey, and Michael (Teresa) Lindsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Frady officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mr. Lindsey’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
