ROCKPORT, Ind. — Lindle R. Bratcher Sr., 75, of Rockport, passed away on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Transcendent Health Care in Boonville, Indiana. Lindle was born on June 1, 1949, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Oakley Samuel Bratcher and Bessie Lee (Cobb) Bratcher.
Lindle had worked at Barmett in Rockport and later St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor “Sue” Bratcher; Brother, Oakley Hun Bratcher Jr.; Sister, Londa Bratcher; Niece, Chasity Kitchens.
Lindle is survived by his children, Lindle Bratcher, of Rockport; Carolyn Hatchett and her husband, Lenn, of Rockport; Melissa Pierce, of Grandview, Indiana; Elizabeth Bratcher, of Oklahoma; Jeremiah Bratcher and his wife, Jennifer, of Oklahoma; Alicia Barnett and her husband, Shane, of Evansville; grandchildren, Zachary and his wife, Mia; Shelby and her husband, Kyle; Mark, Evan, Trevor, Makayla and her husband, Drew; Austin and his wife, Serenity, Aric, Maggie, Landon, Owen, Lani, Ethan; many stepgrandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Emogene Bratcher; nephew, Barney; and nieces, Jaquita and Leona.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial is in Mason Cemetery in Rockport, Kentucky. Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
