MT. JULIET, Tenn. — Carol Jean Cox, 78, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Lebanon Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Jan. 20, 1946, to the late Howard and Lucille Patterson.
Carol attended church at Lake Providence in Mt. Juliet. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends at the Del Webb community and playing games at the clubhouse. Carol had a true passion for traveling and visited many countries around the world with her husband. Carol was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
She worked as a registered nurse for 26 years serving in many roles in several different facilities. She retired from Camelia Home Health in Mississippi in 2012.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Prindable.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wendell Cox; daughters, Sandy Prindable, and Debbie Morton (Cary); grandchildren, Alec Prindable, Eli Prindable, Sam Morton (Jenna), Drew Morton, and Caribeth Morton; and great-grandchild, Henry Morton.
Visitation for Carol will be at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky on Friday, Sept. 6 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.
