BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Fred Dwayne Stewart, 71, of Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born in Hartford, Kentucky, on Jan. 20, 1953, to the late Roscoe and Loretta Wilson Stewart.

Fred was a truck driver and drove a bus for Butler County Schools for 20 years. He loved fishing and fox hunting.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by five brothers and one sister, Elza Stewart, G.R. Stewart, Lawrence Stewart, Jenny Perrin, and Paul Stewart.

He is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Hicks; brothers, Lannie (Pam) Stewart and William (Patty) Stewart; sisters, Brenda Wallace and Kathy Graves; granddaughter, Cierra (Patrick) Decker; and great-grandchildren, Klayton, Kolson, Charlotte, Axel, and Oaklynn.

Services will be at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Cane Run Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky.
